The Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018 (Disability and Carer Benefits) (Consequential Amendments) Order 2026
This Order amends various social security, housing benefit, and decision-making regulations across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland to integrate new Scottish disability and carer benefits into the existing UK-wide legal framework.
It updates terminology to include 'carer benefits' alongside disability benefits and ensures that payments such as Carer Support Payment and Pension Age Disability Payment are recognized within the rules for claims, revisions of decisions, and funeral expense deductions.
The Order applies to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and relevant social security authorities responsible for administering benefits and the appeals process.
The Marine Licensing (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment etc.) Order 2026
This Order expands the scope of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 by designating ten new categories of licensable marine activities conducted in areas beyond national jurisdiction, such as the high seas and the international seabed.
It requires British vessels, aircraft, structures, and 'United Kingdom persons' to obtain licenses for activities including depositing substances, scuttling vessels, constructing works, dredging, and using explosives in these areas.
The Order also establishes specific exemptions for activities that do not require environmental impact assessments and aligns the new regulations with existing Scottish marine legislation and cable maintenance protocols.
The Public Sector Fraud and Error (Recovery) Regulations 2026
These Regulations amend the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 as they apply in Northern Ireland to implement EU Directive 2022/2100.
The measure prohibits the sale of heated tobacco products containing characterizing flavors or flavorings in any of their components, such as filters, papers, or capsules.
It further mandates that heated tobacco products carry specific health warnings, including the smoking cessation message previously required only for combustible tobacco products.
The regulations apply to manufacturers, importers, and retailers of tobacco products within the jurisdiction of Northern Ireland.

The regulations apply to electoral administrators and candidates in England, though they exempt any elections where the formal notice was published prior to June 18, 2026.
The National Savings (Remediation Scheme) (No. 2) Regulations 2026
These Regulations establish the National Savings (Remediation Scheme) (No. 2) to authorize the Director of Savings to make payments to the personal representatives of deceased persons whose estates suffered losses because the Director mistakenly retained certain National Savings holdings, such as bonds, certificates, or stock, after the holder died; the scheme defines what constitutes an eligible claim, sets out the methodology for calculating compensation—which provides for the greater of applicable contractual interest or a benchmarked rate plus 1%—and allows for payment of consequential losses, extending its scope across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands.
The Public Service Pensions Act 2013 (Amendment of Section 3) Order 2026
This Statutory Instrument, made by HM Treasury in June 2026 and effective from July 1st, 2026, amends Section 3 of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013 by specifically removing the exemption that previously existed for scheme regulations made by the Scottish Ministers concerning fire and rescue workers and members of a police force; this action removes those specific regulations from the list of those that do not require prior consent from HM Treasury.
