The restrictions apply daily from 0500 to 2100 Co-ordinated Universal Time (UTC) to protect the public during a scheduled large gathering.
The mandate applies to all unmanned aircraft operators, except those granted specific permission by the Merseyside Police Counter-UAS Team.
The Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act 2023 (Commencement No. 4) Regulations 2026

The restrictions apply to all unmanned aircraft operators, with exceptions for those permitted by the Festival Republic Finsbury Park Events Silver Commander or those operated by police air support units.
The Secretary of State issued these directions to manage safety and security risks associated with large public gatherings for music concerts.
The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Lytham, Lancashire) Regulations 2026
The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Lytham, Lancashire) Regulations 2026 prohibit the operation of unmanned aircraft below 1,100 feet above mean sea level within a specified radius of Lytham, Lancashire. These restrictions apply from 1500 to 2259 hours Co-ordinated Universal Time daily between 1st July and 5th July 2026.
The regulations permit flights only if authorized by the Lancashire Police Counter-UAS Team, and they apply to all operators of unmanned aircraft within the designated coordinates.
The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Commonwealth Games, Glasgow) Regulations 2026
These regulations prohibit the operation of unmanned aircraft below 1,200 feet in designated areas of Glasgow during the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The restrictions apply to two specific geographical zones: a multi-point bounded area from July 23 to August 2, and a circular radius around a central point from July 27 to August 1.
These prohibitions apply to all unmanned aircraft unless the operator has obtained specific permission from the Police Scotland Aviation Safety and Security Unit.
The Airports Slot Allocation (Alleviation of Usage Requirements) Regulations 2026
The Secretary of State issues this Order to bring into force a revised version of the guidance titled 'Adults at risk in immigration detention' on 4th April 2024.
It applies to Home Office officials and immigration officers responsible for making decisions regarding the detention of individuals under immigration laws.
The guidance sets out specific factors that must be considered when determining if a person's mental or physical health, or their history of trauma, makes them particularly vulnerable to harm if held in a detention facility.
The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Southport Airshow) Regulations 2026
These Regulations, made by the Secretary of State for Transport under the Air Navigation Order 2016, impose a temporary restriction on flying aircraft below Flight Level 085 within a 2.3 nautical mile radius centered at 533921N 0030117W on August 29th and 30th, 2026, between 0900 and 1630 hours Co-ordinated Universal Time, specifically to ensure public safety during the planned Southport Airshow flying displays, with exceptions granted only by the Airshow Flying Display Director.
The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Royal International Air Tattoo, Royal Air Force Fairford) (Revocation) Regulations 2026
These statutory instruments formally revoke the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Royal International Air Tattoo, Royal Air Force Fairford) Regulations 2026, effective from June 4th, 2026.
The Secretary of State has determined that the flying restriction previously imposed around the Royal Air Force Fairford area for the Royal International Air Tattoo 2026 is no longer required because the air tattoo event is cancelled, allowing airspace use to return to normal operations.
